Students from Turkic republics and countries (Azerbaijan, Bashkortostan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dagestan, Karachay-Cherkessia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia, Mongolia, Moldova, Nakhchivan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Tatarstan, Turkmenistan, and Ukraine) pay their tuition fees as Turkish nationals at state-run universities.

University Entry requirements
Study requirements vary from one university to another, however, there are common areas which we will cover here:
Turkish language:
English Language:
For the courses instructed in English, you have to either show evidence that you are proficient in English by sitting a test like IELTS or TOFEL, or you have to sit the test taken by the university you want to study in.
For example, in order to study at Yasar University, you must score TOEFL IBT 78 or
CAE Grade B or above or Yasar University FLAT exam 65%

Student Work Permit

According to Turkey’s law and regulations, working in Turkey without a work permit is illegal and in case of being caught, the person will be deported from Turkey to their main country of residence.

The student residence permit does not guarantee a student work permit.

Students should obtain the student residence permit first. After one year, they can apply for a work permit.

Students can apply for a work permit to the ministry of labor. But first, they have to find a job and together with the company they can apply for a work permit.

Students have to be above the age of 18 in order to be able to apply for a work permit.

Graduate or Ph.D. students can work in the institutes where they are educated without limitation of duration, occupation or profession.

The casual work wages are between 8 and 20 Liras per hour.

The student work permit allows students to work up to 24 hours per week

Students who come by student exchange programs to Turkey during an internship do not need for a work permit

There is no need for a work permit for a compulsory internship.

Except for students doing the compulsory internship and student exchange programs, other students have to have a work permit for an internship or a job.

The work permit obtained from the ministry gives students permission for work for only one year, 2 months before the deadline you must request to extend your permit in case you want to carry on working in Turkey. This time they give you two years and after that the give three years work permit

In case a company offers a student a job then the company must apply for the student.

Documents for applying for a work permit: Diploma, copy of passport, photos, copy of residence permit, address.
